I was searching on google for "first issue of National Geographic" when I stumbled on youe Flickr page which a photo of some art installation posted on 8th October 2008 and it had a description about what I was looking for (the date: 1888)but....the whole didn't make sense. Who are the artists and where was that shot?
Hey..... it's from a show curated by Ruba Katrib at MoCA North Miami. The work is by Norwegian artist Ida Ekblad who used issues of National Geographic to make the sculptures you see in the photo. here's some more info on the exhibition http://www.mocanomi.org/darkcontinents.html
