so s-club 7 was a pop band and boot camp for Butlins. And very camp in general. This is a video for one of their big hits. At least according to the youtube information. So the gang drives through a time-warp for this s-club party and reenact The Chicken Game from Rebel Without a Cause. Or something very loosely based on the James Dean vehicle and classic. Anyway,,,,so did Paula Abdul as well, so no points in the reference department.

Anyway......S-club 7 was a british band and even though the band might be gone (unless you can't some less fortunate reincarnations of various clubs of s), but somebody still has the same job as they did back in the day.

Another struggling band from Britain of Great, who have been struggling with band-members, credibility, song choices and most everything, the Sugababes, made this video for their single About a Girl.......

SESC Pompéia is a cultural center in Sao Pauo offering a range of services, from library, internet, restaurant, concerts, swimming pool and exhibitions. The center was full of life when I went there, with a very heterogeneous user group. Old people, young people, disabled people, it seemed like everyone was there. Lina Bo Bardi's retooling of the already existing buildings are prime examples of brutalist architecture, with concrete and violent ramps connecting the two main towers of the compound. But it works! yay!

The copan building is located in the center of Sao Paulo and houses around 5000 people. Oscar Niemeyer mixed different sized apartments in the hope of mixing different social classes in a holy heterotopia. Yum!
The S shape swirls its way through the concrete jungle and stands next to one of the tallest building in Sao Paulo, Edificio Italia. You can see the peak to the right in the photo.
This shot was inspired by my friend Fredrik Værslev and his photographic series called "My Architecture."

This is the main space at the capacete residency in Rio. We're almost done with our stay here in Gloria, but headed for more Capacete adventures in Sao Paulo at the end of the month. I've been conducting a workshop here and the third and final session will take place next week. The workshop is called Case Study: Art and the luxury goods market. For the first session i screened the opening scenes of an episode of Sex and the City, where Carrie and Charlotte head to the Sean Kelly Gallery to see the Marina Abramovic performance House with an ocean view. This episode introduces the topic of the art market and how it functions. The second session looked more closely at the gallery and art fairs, while the third and final session will summarize and hopefully make us all a lot smarter. ha!

in the middle of nowhere....that's where you find them. Precious jewels. Expensive stones. Inhotim is an upgraded sculpture park located a few kilometers outside the small town Brumadinho in Minas Gerais, Brazil, where the artwork on display is not limited by the usual confines of sculpture or park. Most work is shown in a custom built dome or gallery space and the park opened nine new projects a few weeks ago. One of them, Beam Drop by Chris Burden, is located on a hill top with a beautiful view over the horizon.

I've seen Peaches a few times, mostly just after her first record dropped. The second and third albums kind of passed me by a bit.........BUT we went to see her perform in DC and she blew me away. She could have blown me every other way.

She managed to combine the different strands from the earlier live performances with the new material and the extravaganzas from the albums in the middle. Rich from fourfour wrote about the album, and gave it a relative thumbs up, so that's one thing. The album is good. BUT live she rules and will beat down any other electroclash act. Not that electroclas needs more beatings. please.

i just saw the best installation ever. In my dreams. It was at a shopping mall. I remember passing the Virgin mobile phone section, before I came to the project space they usually reserve for artists. I walk into the space and there's a projection there, so the room is pretty dark, to the right there's a another little space, where a small cabin has been erected. Outside the cabin is a horse, a sculpture, made out of plastic or just papermache, but on the horse is a naked guy. He has long, dark hair and is made out to look native american. I walk around and look at the horse, and the guy, wondering if I should take a photo. After a few seconds, the horse starts to move and the guy on the horse gestures for me to follow him. I do, and the horse shifts through the space, out through the projection room and into a great big hall, where there's an artificial waterfall and a forest scene. The horse starts to fly towards the ceiling, where daylight is coming through. It's lifted of the ground by some strange mechanism. The guy gestures for me to follow, and I'm puzzled as to how. I see a huge wine, and the guy on the horse passes it to me. I grab it and wonder what will happen next. I can't hang onto the vine all by myself. The vine has a mechanical contraption which rotates itself around me, but I'm doing something wrong. The vine is supposed to envelop my body, but it only caught one arm. The guy on the horse is trying to fix the situation and tells me it's going to be ok, just let the vine wrap itself around your other arm.
I do, and the whole vine lifts me up after the horse and pulls me up. The horse and the naked guy disappear through the glass ceiling, and I'm pulled up through a skylight and left on the edge of the roof, on a rafter. What a ride! And I see myself lying on the rafter. I have long, straight, blond hair, and pale, pale skin.
what a nice trip to the mall.

I'm curating a show at Landings, opening the first weekend of May. Which is pretty soon, come to think of it. I will have Landings 1 and 2 to my disposal, while Andrea Geyer will occupy Landings 3.
My show is called Case Study: Art and Biography and tackles the work of Cindy Sherman. Cindy Sherman has presented in many different ways, but I've chosen to look at her work in relation to who she was dating at the time. It's pretty rude, but I do believe there's a lot of interesting things about Sherman's work that will be uncovered. Especially with an artist that denies the autobiographical.

The generational at the New Museum is opening tonight, with Ida Ekblad, Ryan Trecartin, Lizzie Fitch, Cory Arcangel, Aids-3D, Tauba Auerbach, Keren Cytter, Ryan Gander, Matt Keegan, Adriana Lara, Emily Roysdon, Josh Smith, Trish Vonna-Michell and plenty of others. Plenty of familiar faces, but quite a few I don't know that well. Or at all.
So, the premise: Youth. No big surprise, seeing as the art world is gearing it's attention to people just out of, or still in, grad school. The three curators have asked 150 informants from all over the world to supply them with fresh, local meat. I put forth three names, one of them made it to the show. The rest will be featured in an artist directory with 498 others. I'm curious to see what the directory will look like. Charley's special Berlin Biennial edition a few years ago could potentially compare to the megacatalog of young artists. The three curators compiled a page about each artist they had considered for the biennial, whether it be a press release or a crappy jpeg.

The triennial will hopefully turn their eye to older than God for the next show. Or something. The show is up until the first week of July. Good luck.

1. Where are all the female artists at the Astrup Fearnley museum? They are a private museum for contemporary art and are known for their shows of white, male artists. They have followed 'trends' in the art market and taken into account globalization or whatever and exhibited Chinese artists, but their current exhibition, Rotasjoner #1, is almost totally lacking in women artists. Ann Lislegaard and Jennifer Allora are the only women in the exhibition. The total list of artists>>>>>>>>

one of my favorite professors at Bard was Marcia Tucker. She was honest and taught us quite a few important lessons. Her biography recounts her successes and failures on equal parts. There's something valuable about the failures as well and avoiding the streamlined trajectory of success. One of her mottos as a curator was "a lifetime of bad reviews." Not doing shows just to get a good review, but finding out where prejudices, established notions of what's right or wrong, challenging orthodoxies and doing what tickles your fancy. Act now, think later. That way you will have something to think about.

The biography is important. Not just to remember Marcia, but also to remember her work as a curator. The show she did with James Monte at the Whitney Museum (as the Whitney's first female curator), Anti-Illusion, was installed while Szeemann and Hultén were working on their approach to contemporary art of the late 60s. After being fired from the Whitney (something Marcia was proud of) she started her own museum, the New Museum. It's evolved and changed into the superstructure it is today, but the 32 year old museum has a unique history.

Exhibition curated by Pontus Hultén at the Moderna Museet in Stockholm in 1969. Initiated by Ronald Hunt and assisted by Katha Waldén. The show consisted mostly of photographs and reconstructions, but also a heavy program of films, meetings, concerts and other initiatives that just utilized the museum as a space, not necessarily an exhibition space.
The intersection of life and art, viewed through the lens of radical politics of '68. The exhibition traveled to the Kunstverein in Münich, where the local art academy took part in scheduling activities and debates. The exhibition was closed down by local politicians after too much criticism of the establishment. wha-wha. The show traveled to Vancouver and to RISD, where the show remained in storage until the 80s. The show was part of an anniversary at the Kunstverein and put on display as an important show that changed the political landscape and how art and politics interacted. Anyway. This was a large institution organizing and touring a radically different type of exhibition. Where did that all go?

no wonder this shirt is 70%. It's horrendous. And a part of the commes des garçons line at H&M. I saw most of the stuff and thought it was pretty plain and simple. Got the wool scarf and cardigan because the wool was thick and nice. Now that the sale is on I got two shirts as well and I think the simple shoes are nice, but not for the full price. SALE>>>>

Anyway, I thought I was pretty familiar with the whole collection until this one popped up. Wow. The stripes are weird and the diagonal line is not doing anything for me. And I only saw one. I thought it might just be H&M trying to be sneaky and copying Rei Kawakubo, but no. It's official.

Lewis Powell tried to assassinate the secretary of state, while his buddy John Wilkes Booth did the deed with Abraham Lincoln. Powell was caught and hanged alongside three fellow conspirators. I saw a photo of Powell while I was working in a library in London round the Millennium. And thought he looked like a nice guy. His friends called him doc, because he took care of animals and nurtured stray animals back to health. A horse kicked him in the head when he was a teenager, but I don't know if that explains why he later would think assassination would be a good idea. A more probable explanation would be the war. He was wounded and captured at the second day of the Battle of Gettysburg.
And how come he looks like he is in a fashion ad?

I do read a lot of comic books. and I mean the comics that have superheroes in them. It started out reading the classics, like Spiderman (Edderkoppen), Batman (Lynvingen), Superman (Supermann), all the men (Prosjekt X [X-men]), but also the spin-offs, like Spiderwoman and She-Hulk. But I also like some of the more experimental stuff from the two big ones. Marvel. And DC.
Grant Morrison, just recently 'killed' Batman over at DC, wrote Doom Patrol from issue #19. It was fun, took some risks, and poked fun at the more generic brand of super-heroes.

The launch of H&M's new designer collaboration launched this week and I was pretty excited to see the stuff I had been clicking on online in the flesh. And the wool. It was ok. Nothing over the top, nothing too exciting. Kind of dull.
I got the freaking scarf, because who doesn't need a huge wool scarf in November?

I might get the fragrance, but the trench-coat and the jacket were too expensive for H&M, even with added Rei Kawakubo. The wool sweaters were nice, but didn't fit. I tried the large and it was too long and too tight. ok, so maybe I just need to lose weight.

My favorite collection would be the Karl Lagerfeld one. The jeans were amazing, they had cords, a lot of accessories and it was clean, simple, but well fitting. Who's next?

I bought two dvd's at platekompaniet yesterday. Both 59,50 in the sale section. I didn't really think about it, but both movies revolve around women horribly wronged by other men, not relying on the official system of crime+punishment, and taking the knife, pistol, stiletto in their own hands. Jodie Foster and her husband are attacked and left for dead. Her husband dies, but Foster starts a career as a vigilante. Neil Jordan is the director, so I am looking forward to taking a look. In "I spit on your grave" a manhattanite on a relaxing get away is raped. and left for dead. She survives and exacts her horrible revenge. Having being mugged myself, but not a woman, i guess I am drawn to these types of movies.

The exhibition November 2008 is based on a careful selection of artist initiated magazines from the 70’s until today. Art magazines play an important part in the distribution of art. The drive to create new arenas for art led to a surge of artist-produced magazines in the 70’s, and the magazine-format paved the ground for experimentation with text, information, distribution and media-realities.
Artist initiated magazines enabled the artists to work outside the galleries, take control over their own production and to reach a larger audience. November 2008 focuses on how the magazine format works as an alternative exhibition space.

The represented magazines in this exhibition have in common a DIY – attitude, where collaboration and the collective is in focus. The artist group General Idea (which consists of AA Bronson, Felix Partz and Jorge Zontal) founded, in 1972, FILE megazine. FILE was not a magazine in it’s normal sense, but one of General Ideas many art – projects. By appropriating the name and the visual profile of the well-known life-style magazine LIFE, General Idea sought a broader distribution. The thought was that the magazine format itself would lead the art out to a larger audience, no matter which content. FILE was made with the kiosk newspaper stands in mind, not the secluded art audience.
At Rekord, FILE will be shown together with original editions of General Idea. Other magazines from the same time, like Art Rite, Avalanche, Interfunktionen, Real Life, ZG and the some-what later Eau de Cologne, all made use of different strategies to present the art-scene they themselves where a part of. Artists like Joseph Beuys, Lawrence Weiner, Barbara Krüger, Cindy Sherman, Ray Johnson and more often appeared in several of them.

K48’s last number Starship Counterforce will be launched in this exhibition together with a presentation of works by selected contributors: Telfar Clements, Jonah Groenboer, Jeff Konigsberg, Nicholas Messing, Slava Mogutin, Klaus Schulze, Donnie & Travis, Fatima al Qadiri and Grant Worth. Other contemporary magazines that are shown include, among others, Dexter Sinisters magazine Dot Dot Dot, RE-magazine, Charley and Permanent Food.

Scott Hug, the man behind K48, shows a constellation of his own polaroids and images taken from the magazines Time and The New Yorker in Too Much, Too Little, Too Late. Polaroids: 2002-2007. James Hoff (US) uses the magazine as a background source for his artistic practice: Sing, Sing consists of drawings taken from a Raymon Pettibon fanzine, and the publication Topten originates from Artforums top ten column.

Two circles, one red for the regular post service, and one green for business services (I think). But where did they come up with this innovative design?? How many people thought in think tanks?
Or did they just steal the look of the pokemon ball?

Anyway, new projects seem to materialize for karin whenever the old one has hit a snag. Honey is Cool for the Knife and now Fever Ray for the Knife. I guess this is more of solo project and that the Knife aren't over, so win-win.
I just wish they would re-release Honey is Cool's first album, focky focky no pay. That would make my day.

Love is overtaking me is out on Tuesday 28th October. Another rummaging experience, going through Russell's archives and unreleased material. I've listened to three songs from the compilation and they seem surprisingly easy. Not as in easy listening, though the songs are a far cry from Russell's instrumental and experimental compositions. I think there are a few covers, some demos, songs from other projects, such as The Sailboats, Turbo Sporty and Bright & Early.

And the documentary is out in November, so a pleasant end to 2008 with the help of Russell.

burden bargain

I'm not the one for dumpster diving, but I love going through the bargain racks at bookstores, recordstores, comicbookstores, and so on. I found this at Astrup Fearnley Museum in Oslo and was very happy! I love Burden (he doesn't know it) and recognized this book from the library. It's a catalog he published in 1978 on his performance work from 1974 to 1977. It was 25 NOK, which isn't a lot in today's unstable kroner market. I just checked and it's actually worth 4000 kroner. Score!
I also got some other catalogs, the Chris Burden catalog from Magasin 3 Konsthall in Stockholm, Olafur Eliasson at Kunsthalle Basel and Thomas Hirschhorn at the Renaissance Society. All for 95 NOK.

the new issue of K48 is almost out. Almost.
It will be launched in NY on the 28th October and I'm sure it will be a rad party, but if you live in Oslo (the Norway) there will be another launch and an exhibition in November!

In New York there will be live performances by Come Rad Comrade, Brother Bruno, Tha Pumpsta, Living Days, Popular Science—featuring Tobell von Cartier and DJ set's by NYC's Kingdom, Michael Magnan, Atomly, Telfar and Fatima Al Qadiri.

The issue looks to the future, to space, to science fiction, to utopias and beyond. Anne Koch has made a light-sculpture which ships with each issue, Marc Andreottola has written a piece for the mag, there's an offer for a limited poster in the issue and the cover is all gold and black and neon=the future!

This Tom of Finland fragrance has got me smelling all sorts of good. Karl says it smells like a leather bar. I don't know about that, but it's dark and musky, full of aldehydes and iris. mmmmmm. Inside the package/packaging there's a 'secret' drawing. In my box were two of Tom of Finland's hunky sailors with their own little boxes to take care of. I got this at Oak in Brooklyn, but I'm sure it's in all the right stores at the right price. Fragrances are hard. I bought the Tom Ford fragrance on a whim. bad whim.
My favorite of all time is one of the three dior hommes perfumes, Eau Noire, full of myrrh, violet and lavender. Heavy stuff, but oh, so good!

It´s hard to knock a guy when he is trying to save the world, but Bono rubs me the wrong way. Not that I want him to rub me any which way at all.

i do own two U2 albums, Achtung baby and Zooropa, where they stay clear of their Americana Stadium Rock and delve into concept albums. And there´s a photo of the only hot guy in the group, drummer Larry Mullen Jr, naked. It´s really tiny (the photo), but for a 14 year old aspiring guy, that´s plenty.

season 11 is about to kick off, so color me a sad shade of interested.
Are they relocating so San Fransisco? The 70s themed hippie promo doesn't really do anything for me. Both the Jays are on it, Mr and Mrs, which is a tad unusual. Maybe they'll be featured more seeing as Banks is trying to take over the world.
Bringing the show back to New York for season 10 was great, seeing as fashion lives in NY and not LA. TV lives in LA. And Heidi Klum. Which is why Project Runway is headed west for season 6. ANYWHO.
The outcome of the show seems to be more and more a product of Tyra's scheme to take over the world. Season 9 saw Tootie win after receiving guidance from Tyra in the T-Zone camp, and season 10 saw Natalie take the win. Fat girls can be beautiful too. Except that Whitney put on the pounds before the show and beefed up to take the win.

Let's see what Tybaby can come up with this time. A lesbian winner?

It's amazing how America's Next Top Model accepted the application from one Ms Jerri Blank. She's about 54, spent over 30 years behind bars and is a user, a boozer and a loser. Wow. She looks good though and takes beautiful photographs. The camera loves her. Or something.
Rich over at fourfour.typepad.com has chronicled the rise and fall of Ms Dominique. She is crazy and crazy got her into the top 4, which just goes to show that it's a reality show and not a proper modeling show. Not that this in itself detracts from the enjoyability of the show. It wouldn't be interesting if not for loons like Dom Dom. Two servings of Katarazyna would be two too many. Anyway. Enjoy the Wiener. Winner. Whatever.

fortress of solitude

Superman lives in the fortress of solitude, a structure of crystals in the Antarctic or the Arctic. Depending on what comic book, film or online encyclopedia you read. The building rose out of the icy waters and long crystal rods forms the angular structure. Which reminds me of how the new opera house in Oslo looks like. Coming out of the water at a low angle, stretching high towards the hills in the background.

Both buildings are monumental and the human scale is too small for most parts of the building. Snøhetta, the architects of the Opera house, have made some gestures to incorporate the human body into the building, to make the new opera house more inviting. The small bridge that leads over to the marble blanket that envelopes the whole building and the lowered roof of the entrance.

Superman also offers fine dining inside his fortress. Not so solitary after all! The opera does the same and seats patrons inside the main foyer. Lois Lane might not be happy, sharing superman, but it kinda looks the same.

Some of the colors are also similar. The crystals and ice are like the marble and glass used in Snøhetta's fortress of Solitude. The green color of Kryptonite is present in Olafur Eliasson's commissioned work in the foyer. Pulsating slowly up and down the walls, kind of like Kryptonite!

Well, she is a model on TV. For now. I have a sneaking suspicion that Loony Lauren will be facing Tyra's elimination put down pretty soon. And it will be down to Lauren's lack of something. "this girl who takes beautiful photos, but doesn't look like a model."
My favorite girls never make it that far. Heather made it overseas. Lauren did as well, but it's arrivederci for Lauren next week. Whitney will be the plus-sized girl that will go the furthest, but she will get the boot too. Dominique will be kicked off for looking too old. Which she does, but Tyra and her boys were responsible for picking her in the first place. Logic is not part of the game, so just throw that out the door. Sense.
Anya might win. She's already been paid 10 000 dollars for a job, which was a first for ANTM. A real job with real pay.

Thank God there is no Saleisha on this time. ANTM would've been dead to me if they repeated the over-scripted shitty Sal scenario.

When it takes a promotional tool for me to like the first single from Madonna's new album, I'm left suspicious and feeling slightly used. But I like being used, so what te hoolahey?

I'm dying to see a HQ version of the video. Youtube doesn't really do it for me. Not in the way that xtube does it for me. That's for sure.

The video got me at the part where Madonna pushes the car. On a rug. And walks into a family's dining table. Quirky and artsy.
The choreography is also something to note in the video. There's regular dance stuff going on, but the skipping bits are amazing. Skipping is underrated.

prime minister? or prime rib? Norway's current prime minister posed for a story in Dagbladet about the changing role of men in society. In the 80s. Men could still be macho and tough, but also do chores around the house. The chore photo wasn't all that, so I was left with the weights. Like 10 lbs or something. What a weakling.
Anyway. Jens Stoltenberg. Grew up with politics. His sister, Nini/Ninni Stoltenberg has also been in the spotlight for raising awareness about narcotics and Norway's policy on drugs. A drug user herself, she has been very vocal in giving drug users a face and also expose the hardships of being one. Jens should help out more. Not in the kitchen, but in politics.

This was supposed to be the set of the IRC Dethkillers show, which was held in an old garage in the fashion district. This is just a studio back-lot. I hate it when they try to do "NYC" in LA. Anyway,,,,Regine Mowill was played by Anna Kiwasawa, Anne Koch was played by Roberta Haddon and Geir Haraldseth was played by Joshua Dirk. I think that's a stagename.
Anyway, the movie is currently being shopped around for distribution. If you know anyone interested???

that was what the casting agents for Antonioni's Zabriskie Point (1970) told the Italian director after spotting Mark Frechette at a bus-stop in Boston. Frechette starred with Daria Halprin in the movie, summing up the state of American counterculture. The movie is beautiful and could best be described as a trip. really. Part road-movie, part nonsense.
Panned by critics and audiences, the follow-up to Blowup (1966) was no Blowup (ha!).
Mark and Daria went back to the commune Frechette had left to shoot the movie, and Mark put all his earnings from the movie into the commune, $60.000. Halprin left without blowing up anything like her character, Daria, does in Zabriskie Point.
Frechette was arrested and incarcerated in 1973 after a failed bank robbery where one his fellow commune dwellers was killed. Frechette died in prison in 1976, asphyxiated in the gym, found pinned under a weightlifting bar.

I couldn't sleep last night. Blame it on jetlag. Or stress. Whatever. I popped in the dvd from the rerelease of Arthur Russell's World of Echo and watched him perform two songs. The recording was done Phill Niblock in New York in 1986 at Experimental Intermedia.
The songs on the DVD are "Terrace Of Unintelligibility" and "Some Imaginary Far Away Type Things AKA Lost In The Meshes"
The camera sweeps close to Arthur's face, his chello, the back of his head and so on. Only close-ups. There's a projection in the background producing subtle colors reflecting on arthur and the cello.

Elyse Sewell finished third, but should have at least been second, if not numero uno, in the first cycle of America's Next Top Model. The concept of the show was the same as what it is today, but Tyra Banks has changed. Banks was doing a lot more work and everything looked really rushed. But it got me hooked from day 1.
Sewell must be one of the more accomplished models to graduate from Tyrant Banks' modeling school. She spent most of her career in Asia. And you know what they say about western models in Asia. But Elyse is awesome. Like this picture.
Her boyfriend and her had a fight. They were both charged. But Elyse is in the clear and I hope her boyfriend will be too.

last night was the first of three discussions of the "Curate or Die" series. This was supposed to be the center and periphery debate. Hmmm, totally eurocentric and not really that peripheral. Charlotte Laubard, an independent curator from France who recently took over the CAPC in Bourdeaux, talked about the exhibition profile of the space and how she changed it. The huge church-like space was used to store goods that had been exchanged for slaves, but few exhibitions had taken into account the history of the space, except for the influential Traffic (1996), curated by Nicholas Bourriaud, and the equally important, Cities on the move (1997), curated by Hou Hanru and Hans Ulrich Obrist. Laubard talked about the lack of contact with the local community, which is usually always a problem since contemporary art is not usually meant for the masses. The shows since Laubard took over have been in collaboration with other curators, and have been all destablizing and shit.
Adam Budak from the Kunsthaus Graz, the blip-blop light machine, had so much technical trouble that he never managed to show an image of the building. I guess most people know the building, since the building is what has been touted at every single opportunity, but not showing it was just stupid. Budak has a background in theater, so a lot of the exhibitions are more staged than other, more 'neutral' exhibitions of contemporary art. This has also meant that exhibition design is extremely important for the Austrian space and it looks like a good example of an exhibition space that dares to go where no other space has gone before.
Chuz Martinez, who replaced Marta Gili on the panel (strikes......), was the one who considered the title of the meeting/presentation and suggested instead Research or Die as a more pressing matter. Martinez has an MA in curatorial studies from Bard College...The center for curatorial studies. Or: the periphery for curatorial studies? Nah. I just recognized her language as Bard speak. Fascinating.

ANYWAY, she has taken over the Kunstverein Frankfurt, but talked mostly about the Spain's birth as a democratic nation and discarding anything to do with Franco, which also meant that a new generation of curators were allowed to step up to the plate much earlier.

Markus Müller, the chair, patted everyone on the back and gave his spiel on the center and the periphery. So, Poland is the periphery? And Bordeaux? Whatever. Just admit that you will be presenting the work of three youngish curators that are dealing with an institution after being independent curators. Jon Erik shot himself, by accident, on set of Cover Up. The blanks in guns aren't that blank at all and pushed a piece of his skull into his brain. He starred alongside Joan Collins in the made-for-tv-movie Male Model, and in the time travel sci-fi series voyager. And he's been in heaven for a few decades. He would have been 50.
Hamilton was poised to be the new James Bond, but the producers chose to run w Timothy Dull-ton or Pierce Brosnan. Too bad. They should have made Hamilton Bond. And we would've had a blonde and openly gay James on the screen.

cheap housing good enough for Christiane F and her mother. I didn't really see much of Christiane's world in Neukölln.....

The residency program offers artists a week in an apartment on the 8th floor. A week. That about says everything about the residency. Most of the works on show were dealing with the same issues of architecture, city-planning, utopian ideals, race, and so on, but only on the surface. Ideas aren't allowed to fester, so the works turn out similar and bland. Presentation sucked as well, but I guess you have to show to as much activity as possible to maintain support.

Ribs. Delicious. But when they hurt they really hurt.
Haven't been to the doctor yet, but what can they do anyway?
Modern medicine.
All bullshit.
Not sure if they hurt after the mugging or rough sex? Had that blackout the same evening my ribs started to hurt and you never know what you do in a blackout.
